Chapter 3 OPERATION/MAINTENANCE

Removal

WARNING

THE LAMP IS EXTREMELY HOT AND CAN CAUSE SEVERE

BURNS! THE UNIT SHOULD BE TURNED OFF FOR AT LEAST 20

MINUTES BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REPLACE THE LAMP.

1 Disconnect all power from Sensor. Turn Power switch

off and unplug power cord located on the back of the unit.

2 Turn the Sensor over (bottom up) and place on a soft flat

surface so as not to scratch the exterior surface.

3 Locate Lamp compartment door.

4 Open door by turning the screw fastener 1/4 turn counter-

clockwise.

5 Move the door out of position (Door may be hot if lamp

has been on for an extended time).

6 Locate the wire spring which retains the lamp in operating

position (Figure 3-4).

7 Gently depress the looped end of the wire spring and

release it from under end of the stationary post (doing this

will allow the lamp to move freely).
